Terms of Service
Last updated 31 August 2026
1. Agreement
By using domsechq.com ("DomSec HQ", "the service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We may update these terms from time to time; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
2. The service
DomSec HQ runs read-only security checks against domain names — DNS records, email authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC/BIMI), blacklist status, certificate health, and web security headers — and, for paid accounts, monitors domains on a recurring schedule and emails you when something changes for the worse. Results are informational: a good score is not a guarantee your domain is secure, and a bad score doesn't necessarily mean you're at active risk.
3. Accounts
You must provide a real email address and keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, to hold a paid account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system;
- Automate requests to the free/anonymous check at a volume that could be reasonably read as abuse;
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, tier restrictions, or authentication;
- Resell or white-label the service without our written permission.
Checking a domain you don't own is fine — every check is a standard, read-only lookup, the same kind your own browser or mail server makes, and doesn't notify or affect the domain owner.
5. Plans and billing
Free accounts don't require payment. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal in your dashboard — you'll keep paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for, then your account drops to the free plan. We don't offer pro-rata refunds for unused time on a cancelled plan, except where required by law.
6. Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features, including plan limits and pricing, with reasonable notice where the change materially affects a paid plan you're on.
7. No warranty
The service is provided "as is." We don't warrant that checks are complete, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that using DomSec HQ will prevent a security incident. You're responsible for your own domain's security — we're a tool that helps you spot problems, not an insurer against them.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, DomSec HQ isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, revenue, or business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including abusive use of the free tier. You can stop using the service, or cancel your subscription, at any time.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
